Our client’s goal was simply to build a garage. The existing garage was quite small, with a sloped driveway that presented icy challenges in the winter. Looking deeper into the future, she envisioned the potential of an ADU above the garage, for potential rental income, but also for the next generation of her family to inhabit and call home. This project entailed meeting specific immediate criteria, while future-proofing for a variety of possible situations down the road.
